OG-107 Trousers + Okinawa Boots Minifigure Legs

As Brick Warp gears up to start exploring Vietnam, I am offering a select range of prototype uniforms and equipment pieces as I design them to later utilize in complete minifigures. These products are perfect for kitbashing your own minifigures, or augmenting your collection as I continue to roll out more variety! 

The OG-107 uniform, stemming from the WWII era HBTs, was the basic work and combat utility uniform for all US military branches beginning in 1952 until production ceased in 1989. Constructed from cotton sateen, the name originated from the production specification for olive green 107 dye. Actual examples however, would vary wildly in color over almost 40 years of production, increased further by hard use in work and combat environments, often resulting in a pale blue-green shade. I've chosen Lego sand green to try and mimic this well used color. 

The first M1945 Tropical Combat "Okinawa" boots were the first pattern in the long "Jungle Boot" lineage. These were first produced in the late 1940s - early 1950's as the US's first attempt at a modern jungle boot, learning from the poor performance of thick all-leather boots during the WWII Pacific Campaign. The boots are basically WWII Double Buckle boots that have been redesigned with canvas parts for tropical climates. The boots are often seen worn by early US advisor forces who departed for Vietnam from US installations on Okinawa, hence the now common nickname.
