This minifigure pack designed to accompany the Brick Warp Jeep is based on images of the 502nd PIR, 101st Airborne in Operation Market Garden. As always, careful research has been done, examining archival photos and original artifacts to represent each Paratrooper as accurately as possible.

All three figures feature my updated take on the M1943 field uniform issued to and quickly modified by paratroopers following the lessons learned from the earlier M1942 jump uniform. Attention has been paid to the reinforced jump pockets, leg straps wrapping around each leg, as well as the invasion armbands with art featured for both the pinned on, sewn on, and full armband variants as seen in original photos. The NCO even includes the ever popular detail of the parachute silk scarf tucked into his field jacket, commonly done by paratroopers by cutting their discarded chute once landing. New art is included both for the older parachutist jump boots still in circulation and generally worn by veterans of action in Normandy, as well as the new M1943 combat "buckle" boots beginning to be standardized across the army. Of course as paratroopers, each figure accurately depicts their heavy armament, showcasing the standard field gear to house several days of equipment and ammunition, as well as both Mk2 frag grenades and WP phosphorous grenades spread across them. My favorite details have to be either the white strap on the leg of the NCO, depicting the common practice of cutting the straps from their army cots to use for attaching fighting knives on the leg, or the recognition scarf on the carbine equipped troopers. These recognition scarves were widely issued to allied airborne forces from fear of repeating friendly strafing incidents in Normandy, directing them to mark friendly vehicles and troop columns for visibility from the air.

As always, each figure features a face inspired directly by the reference images used to design them. I've also included different helmet strap variants on each head, showcasing mixes of the chincup, helmet straps, or both hanging down. With all of this variety, of course I could not just include one standard helmet. Each helmet included does feature the regulation white heart tactical marks for the 502nd, but with a different choice of accessory as commonly seen in original photos. The NCO comes with the correct "follow me" stripe printed on the back of the helmet, as well as a texture printed parachutists first aid kit on the side, as wearing them on the front of the helmet, if on the helmet at all, was not always the standard, as he has also gotten ahold of a second one tied to his pistol belt. The other two troopers showcase variations of goggles commonly issued for the operation, both the M1943 dust goggles, as well as the new, even simpler translucent plastic chemical eye shields, which I've added a gloss layer to simulate their see-through appearance.
